How do you enchant in Terraria? ›

Enchanting can be accessed by talking to the Brimstone Witch and choosing "Enchant" from the options (upon opening this option for the first time, she will give the player a Brimstone Locus). The player can then insert the item to be enchanted into the interface that appears below the inventory.

Weapon Infusion

Allows you to consume a more powerful weapon to upgrade the damage of a lower power weapon. Example, if you like Veilthorn more than your newer/stronger weapon, just infuse the new weapon into Veilthorn to upgrade it's damage instead of switching.

It can be found naturally-placed in the Dungeon, and in Hardmode is sold by the Witch Doctor for 10 if the Wizard is present or crafted by submerging an Alchemy Table in Shimmer pool.

Enchanting through the enchantment table requires player experience or levels and lapis lazuli. Once you place the tool/armor/book, you can select from three choices of enchantments, each requiring different amounts of experience and lapis lazuli. Once you select one the item will be enchanted.

An item can be enchanted by using an enchanting table and placing the item in the input slots and uses 1–3 lapis lazuli but can hold up to 64 lapis in its dedicated slot. Upon placing the item, three (pseudo)randomized options appear on the right of the GUI.

The best universal modifier is Godly or Demonic. The two modifiers only differ in knockback, a stat that is not considered very useful (or even beneficial) in many situations.

Swords applied with the Venomous Enchantment gain the following benefits at their respective levels: Reduces the target's walk speed by 5-30% and deals +0.3-1.8% of your damage per second per hit, stacking globally up to 40 hits.

Mystic Enchantments are magical effects that bind themselves to weapons and armor. Obtained by finding them on gear in the world, or by infusing them into equipment yourself, they can augment your Hero's abilities, improving certain skills or increasing your natural strengths.

The Bewitching Table can be activated limitlessly with no cooldown period. It is never consumed, and all players may use it to give themselves the buff.

To enchant items, you must use the experience orbs leveling system. This means you must be at least level 1. Once you've put the item and the lapis lazuli in the slots, choose an option. If no options come up, keep taking the item out and putting it back until you get one.

You can enchant a pickaxe that you are holding by using the /enchant command. For example, you can use the /enchant command to enchant the pickaxe that the player called DigMinecraft is holding with Fortune III. In this example, fortune is the name of the enchantment and 3 is the level of the enchantment to add.
