DescriptionWe are seeking a Tax Manager for our Steel Manufacturing industry located in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. This role involves managing the corporate tax department, including overseeing the completion of various tax reports and audits to minimize the company's tax obligations. This is a contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
Manage the preparation of federal and state income and franchise tax returns
Oversee the preparation of sales/use, property, and miscellaneous tax returns
Conduct tax audits including scheduling, record retrieval, and research
Establish tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance and minimize liability
Analyze changes in tax laws to determine impact on the company
Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax
Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
Ability to handle various Accounting Functions
Knowledge of Auditing procedures
Strong skills in Compliance practices
Experience in Entity Formation
Proficiency in Income Tax Accounting
Extensive knowledge of the steel manufacturing industry
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred
Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role within the steel manufacturing industry.
