Absolutely amazing time with Ahn. She was Kind, detailed, and listened to everything I had to say and how I wanted my nails. Did the Gel-X and it was so different than acrylic but I absolutely love it. She is talented and wonderful to talk to.

This place is really nice, the staff are friendly and they are clean. It cost $120 for a rebase and a 2nd tier pedicure before tip. So definitely on the pricey side.

Critical:Professionalism,Quality,ValueSo very disappointed. I have been going here regularly (every 3-4 weeks) for dip powder manicures and pedicures since they opened. I have had my nails done by probably every nail tech in there and all of a sudden they are just a money making machine instead of actually caring for their customers and giving them good service. My nails are absolutely destroyed from the last several times of dip manicures because they are brutal with the electric file. Last time I went, I tried to explain that I wanted the same thing I always get but without the electric file—which I know is an option almost everywhere— and they insisted that they wouldn’t be able to do the manicure without using it. I knew my nails were paper thin and it was painful, but I allowed them to do it because I needed my nails done for a photo shoot. Now I have 5 broken nails that are bleeding, thin, and ruined and I’m pretty sure my boyfriend is proposing soon. What an absolute disaster. I won’t be coming back even though it’s the most convenient and I have been a day 1 customer because they no longer care about nail health and taking care of the natural nail. They want the manicures to look good enough for you to pay and get right back out the door.Service:ManicureSo very disappointed. Paid $80 for basic acrylics not even with gems or anything. They now charge $5 for length no matter what, 5$ for shape no matter what, and another $5 for color now??? Makes no sense and all my nails came off in less than a week. I’ve come here for years and I will never return as they just charge for random things now. Also they were extremely rude and unprofessional and will just argue with you. Good luck magic nails.

I will definitely never be getting my nails done here again. I had acrylic with tips the one time I’ve ever been here. Instead of being a reasonable and normal place and drilling the top coats off and soaking off..odd… the nail tech used an acrylic tip to wedge under the acrylic on my nail to break the nails off of my nail. Very painfully. Had to replace with dip nails instead of gel due to the damage they caused. Also cut my cuticle down too much and filed the sides roo much to where my finger was literally bleeding. The absolute worst nail experience I’ve ever had

My girlfriend got her nails done here, and it was $90 for just an acrylic set of nails. While that is absurdly expensive for a single set, if her nails lasted a while we could bite the bullet. However, two days later her acrylics are already falling off. Stay away from here, they will charge you for stuff you don’t get and your nails will fall off within two days!

FAQs

What nail service is best for your nails? ›

If you have weak or brittle nails, consider a regular or shellac manicure as they are less damaging. If longevity is a priority, opt for a gel or dip powder manicure. If you want to add length or dramatically change your nail shape, acrylics could be your best bet.

What are the strongest salon nails? ›

For the longest-lasting manicure, choose a gel or acrylic style. Gel nail polish is less likely to chip, and acrylic is even stronger than gel.

How do I choose a manicurist? ›

Ultimately, trust your gut feeling when selecting a nail technician – choose someone who makes you feel comfortable, listens to your concerns, and demonstrates a genuine passion for their work. Finding a good nail tech may take some time and experimentation.

How to get nail salon nails at home? ›

  4. Apply a Basecoat. ...
  5. Brush On Two Coats Of Color. ...
  6. Apply a Top Coat. ...
  7. Clean Up Any Smudges.

Is gel or acrylic better for weak nails? ›

Gel nails are less likely to cause damage to natural nails than acrylic nails. They are less harsh on the natural nails during the application and removal process, which can be beneficial for people with weaker nails.

Are dip nails better than gel? ›

Durability.

Individuals with oily nail beds or chip-prone nails, for example, may have trouble getting a gel manicure to last for more than two weeks. If that describes you, dip powder nails are the superior option because they're built up in layers, which enhances nail strength and creates a barrier against chipping.

Which fake nails last the longest? ›

If you're looking for the most durable option possible, acrylic nails are the way to go. However, if you're looking for an option that is easier to remove, dip nails may be a better choice. Gel nails are a good middle ground between the two.

Which nail breaks the most? ›

Because of their straight-edge shapes, square- and coffin-shaped nails are more prone to breakage, Tuttle says.

What is the most attractive nail? ›

The theory has been backed up by research, which shows that men find women with red nails more attractive than those with any other color nails. The implications of Red Nails Theory are far-reaching.

How to tell a good nail salon? ›

The atmosphere is everything so once you narrow your search down to safe, sanitary nail salons that offer the services you're looking for, see what it's like inside. If it's too loud and busy or the nail technicians and the receptionist are rude to you, your money will be better spent at another nail salon.

What is the healthiest manicure for your nails? ›

Overall, Dip Powder Manicures are a great way to get a healthy manicure that will protect and strengthen your nails without causing any damage. Just like any nail treatment, you do have to make sure you properly remove it to keep your nails safe and healthy – Don't pick at your manicure!

What type of nails are least damaging? ›

Choose soak-off gel nails instead of acrylic nails.

While gel nails can cause nail brittleness, peeling, and cracking, they're more flexible than acrylic nails. This means your own nails are less likely to crack. You'll want to ask for gel nails that soak off rather than ones that must be filed off.

What do you soak your fingers in for a manicure? ›

Place your hands in a bowl of warm (not too hot) water and add a bit of your gentle face cleanser or shampoo to the water. Soaking the cuticle before trimming is crucial, but over-soaking actually damages skin and nails, so limit this step to three minutes or less.

What color nail polish looks professional? ›

Any brownish, pinkish beige nail colour can be perfect for the office. Choose the shade that matches your skin tone so your hands can glow. When you want to rest from bold and bright-coloured nails, nude colour is best for the office to maintain elegance and beauty.

What is it called when a nail tech comes to your house? ›

A mobile nail service is a convenient alternative to traditional nail salons, where a professional nail technician travels directly to you (to your home, to a senior living community, or any other designated place), to provide nail care services.
